The Durham Children’s Aid Foundation (DCAF) receives support through corporate supporters, foundations, individual donors, various community organizations and special events. Funds raised directly benefit children and youth involved with the Durham Children’s Aid Society and those living in the Durham Region. DCAF is supporting essential and necessary services that are not covered by government funding. The funds are dedicated to key areas, always working to ensure a maximized impact for the community. These programs may seem small, but they can have a huge impact on the life of a child or youth. It is because of the support of the community that DCAF is able to extend a helping hand to those children in desperate need. DCAF helps to break the cycle of abuse and neglect, and to foster the healthy development of youth into socially responsible adults.
